気使いする人に敵はいない

 両国の国技館で開催された大相撲トーナメントを夫婦で観戦に行きました。 朝から出かけたのですが、私たちが座るマス席に丁度別の二人と鉢合わせになったのでした。 マス席には４人が座れるのですが、当然前の方が相撲を良く見えるのです。

二人ずれの一人はおばさんで、もう一人はおばあさんでした。

おばさん： 私たちは年寄りだから席を譲って下さいね。

と言って、一方的に前の席に座ってしまいました。 図々しいおばさんだなと内心思いましたが、おばあさんがいるので、当然だなと思いました。

私： どうぞ、どうぞ

おばさん： すいませんね。 私は何度も、来ているんですけど、このおばあさんはまだ

　 一度も国技館で相撲を見たことがないので。

相撲が始まって、しばらくして、そのおばさんは席のことを気にしてか、せんべい、チョコレートなどを私たちにくれました。 私たちもお返しに国技館で買った焼き鳥をあげました。

午後になると、さすがにおばあさんは狭いマス席で見ることに疲れた様子でした。

まだ十両以下の取り組みで、幕内の取り組みは始まっていないので、外の廊下の席で休んでいるからとマス席から出て行きました。 おばさんによると、おばあさんは友達だそうですが、８８歳ということでした。 ８８歳にしてはしっかりしている様子でした。

おばあさんがアイスクリームを一つ買ってきて、おばさんに言いました。

おばあさん： いつも世話になって有り難うございます。 お口に合わないかもしれない

けれど、ぜひ召し上がってください。

そして、また外の廊下に戻っていきました。

おばさん：私、アイスクリームは甘くて、苦手なのよね。 食べないとおばあさんが気を

悪くするからお二人で食べてくれませんか？

と私たちに言いました。 私たちはそれもそうだと思い、いただきました。 食べた後、アイスクリームの袋を自分のごみ袋に入れました。

おばさん：アイスクリームの袋どうしました？

私： ここにありますけど。

おばさん：私が食べたことにしないとおばあさんが気を悪くするので、その袋を下さい。

しばらくして、おばあさんが戻ってきました。

おばあさん：アイスクリームを食べました？

おばさん： 食べましたよ。

おばあさん：それは良かった。 ごみを捨ててきますから、アイスクリームの袋を下さい。

おばさん：はい、どうぞ。　こくがあって､ とてもおいしかったわよ。

もし、おばさんが私たちからアイスクリームの袋を取り返さなかったら、どうなって

いたでしょう。　おばさんと、おばあさんの気使いのやり取りにとても、教えられる

ところがありました。

Take care

There is not an enemy for the man who takes care others.

Wife and I went to watch sumo (Japanese wrestling). I went early in the morning.

But we encountered to other members in the same place to sit down each other.

Four members can sit in the square place. One woman was a middle-aged lady

and the other was an old woman.

Lady: We would like to sit down in front of you because we are elder than you.

I thought they were cheeky. We admitted them did so to see an old woman.

I: By all means.

Lady: I am sorry to sit down in front of you. I come here some times.

But this old woman has first chance to watch sumo(Japanese wrestling)

in this stadium.

A middle-aged lady gave us rice cakes, chocolates, thinking to take front seats.

We gave them grilled meat on a stick in return.

The old woman was tired to watch sumo in the afternoon. She went to a corridor outside to rest.

Lady: The old woman is a friend of mine. She is 88 years old.

The old woman bought one ice cream. And she said to the lady.

The old woman: Thank you very much for your kindness. Please eat this one.

And she returned to the corridor. After that, the lady said us.

Lady: I am weak to an ice cream. Please eat this ice cream. Because if I don’t eat it,

the old woman will be in a bad mood.

We thought so. We ate an ice cream. And I put a package of ice cream to my trash can.

Lady: Where is a package ?

I: Here it is.

Lady: Please give me it as the old woman will be in a bad mood.

After a while, the old woman came back.

The old woman: Did you eat ice cream ?

Lady: Yes, I did.

The old woman: Good. Please give me a package of ice cream. I will dump.

Lady: Here you are. It was very delicious.

What happened, if the lady didn’t take a package from us ?

I was taught about taking care from conversation between the lady and the old woman.
